Services Available at the Greenfield LIbrary during COVID19

Student Printer--First Floor

 

The public printer is located on the 1st floor of the library and is available for students only.  Any of the four student computers on the 1st floor have printing capabilities.  Please wash your hands prior to using the computers, limit your time on the computers, and wipe down the station after use.

  1. Log-on to the computer using your SJC username and password.  
  2. Open the item you wish to print, select Print and print to Greenfield on Metatron
  3. The printer is located on the first floor near the student computer stations

Scanner

The scanner is located on the second floor of the library.  You can send documents to yourself via email, Dropbox, Google Drive, or by using a flash drive for free.  You can also print what you are scanning for a fee.  Under the scanner table, there is a vend machine that accepts payment.  The fee is $0.05/page, $0.10/double-sided.  

Students can scan their documents to the Greenfield Library printer on the 1st floor.

Faculty can print for free with the use of a code.  To retrieve the code, please ask the staff at the Circulation Desk.

Printing from Google Docs

Google Docs is a great tool for viewing and editing documents you have saved online.  If you would like to print your document, please download the file.  If you try to print directly from Google Docs, the printer will only print the first few pages of your document.

To download your file from Google Docs:

  1. Go to "File" (located in the top navigation bar)
  2. Scroll down to "Download as"
  3. Select the program you wish you use (any Microsoft products and PDF files both work)
  4. Once your file is downloaded, print from your selected program

Reset Password

I'm locked out of my account, what do I do?

If you are locked out of your account (this usually happens when you try to login with an incorrect password too many times), you can attempt to unlock your account by going to mySJC - https://mysjc.sjc.edu/ICS.  Click on the "Reset Your Password" link, and follow the prompts.  If this does not work, please contact IT.  They will be able to reset your account for you.  IT can be reached by phone @ 410-626-2892, email.

Wi-Fi

In order to connect to the Polity network, you must have a SJC username and password. 

  1. Select polity from the list of networks.
  2. Login using your SJC username and password.
  3. You may encounter a privacy notice screen:
  4. Click on the “Advanced” link (or its equivalent), and another screen will appear.  Click on the “Proceed to securelogin.arubanetworks.com (unsafe)” link and you should be redirected.

            

**Please note:  On certain devices, you may have to perform the authentication procedure twice.  If you encounter any issues logging into the wireless network, please ask at the Circulation Desk.**
